We are the Prairieland Pickers; from Central Illinois in St. Elmo and Altamont; between Effingham-Vandalia (we call it Prairieland).

We play mainly folk music and gospel music for assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, special events, county fairs, churches, and others when requested.

We have been playing music for 15+ years, playing music geared towards the older generation.  We have also played at the Illinois State Fair 5 years in a row.

"You got time to breathe, you got time for music."

Tidbits

Joe Clark was a famous Dulcimer player many years ago.

One song we play is called "Old Joe Clark."

This is an old barn in Cripple Creek Colorado.

One of the songs we have play is called "Cripple Creek"

This town got it's name because there is a steep creek

where cattle crossed and they frequently would fall

and become crippled.
